This project focuses on the design and development of a digital management system for the boutique hotel Urban Oasis.
The platform is tailored for the shift manager, who oversees daily hotel operations, staff coordination, and overall guest experience.
The goal was to create an efficient, intuitive, and visually clear interface that enables real-time control of all hotel activities - including staff management, room status, incident tracking, and guest requests - from a single centralized dashboard.
The system was built around a well-defined user persona: a dynamic, multitasking shift manager who requires a tool that provides a broad operational overview, instant updates, and fast response capabilities.
The design emphasizes clarity, visual hierarchy, and intelligent task flow, combining high functionality with a clean and user-friendly experience.

Users & Context
Designed for: a boutique hotel shift manager overseeing 40 rooms, seven operational departments (restaurant, spa, bar, etc.), and a staff of 80+ people. Their role requires constant coordination - maintaining smooth operations, responding to incidents, assigning tasks, and ensuring an uninterrupted guest experience.
The dashboard was designed to support both functional and emotional needs. Functionally, it enables real-time visibility into occupancy, incident tracking, task assignment, and cross-team communication. Emotionally, it gives the shift manager confidence, clarity, and a sense of control - especially during high-pressure moments.
Design Approach
The design prioritizes clarity and hierarchy - balancing live operational data with visual calm. Occupancy, maintenance incidents, and room status are organized into a single glanceable overview. Color and layout support prioritization, while typography and spacing enable focus.
Every component was crafted to reduce cognitive load, so the manager can act quickly - and confidently.

A quick visual snapshot of occupancy and room readiness. Designed for instant comprehension, combining numeric data with subtle color cues to indicate availability, cleaning progress, or out-of-service rooms - all at a glance. 
Progress bars and proportional blocks help communicate scale without overwhelming users with numbers.
A focused area dedicated to guest notes and accessibility preferences. The challenge was to surface sensitive information when needed, without creating visual noise. Collapsible cards and clear iconography enable quick scanning while keeping the interface calm, discreet, and easy to navigate.
